Imports

Bring your history from Plausible, Umami, GA4 or DataFast, and undo it if you need to.

Imports are on the site's Settings page. Each import is listed there with an Undo button that removes exactly what it added.

Plausible

In Plausible, open Site settings, Imports & Exports, and export CSV. Upload the zip as it is. These are daily totals, so they appear on unfiltered views of the dashboard; filters apply to live data only.

Umami

Export your data from Umami and upload website_event.csv. These are raw events, so every filter and breakdown works on them.

DataFast

DataFast has no export button, so pull your daily totals from its API on your own machine (your DataFast key never reaches Pathrail) and upload the file:

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer df_..." \
  "https://datafa.st/api/v1/analytics/timeseries?fields=visitors,pageviews,sessions&interval=day&startAt=2025-01-01&endAt=2025-12-31&limit=1000" \
  > datafast.json

A CSV works too, with a date and visitors column and, optionally, pageviews, sessions, bounce_rate and avg_session_duration. Add dimension and value columns (source, page, entry_page, country, device, browser or os) to bring breakdowns as well. Like Plausible, these are daily totals.

GA4

Connect Google with the Analytics permission, choose the property, then Import. It works like Plausible: daily totals, before Pathrail's own data starts. See Connect Google.

For all of these, days from the first day Pathrail has live data onward are skipped, so nothing is counted twice. A DataFast import also skips days that an earlier import already filled. Imported history doesn't count toward your plan.
